A few years back, I was requested to bake a birthday cake for someone's special day. Due to my culinary arts degree, they were convinced that I was the perfect candidate for the job. 

The idea of baking in the kitchen initially puzzled me, but I was determined not to let it hinder me from completing the task. Despite my culinary background, I was clueless when it came to baking. After learning that her preferred flavors are peanut butter and chocolate, I took it upon myself to research a recipe for a homemade peanut butter chocolate cake.

I told myself that if someone asks me to bake a cake, I wouldn't use a box mix; instead, I'd make everything from scratch. In my attempt to conquer my nervousness, I ended up baking the cake three times to perfect the flavors, aiming for a flawless outcome.

I remembered vividly walking up the stairs to the studio on the event day, catching a whiff of peanut butter scent wafting from the box, all set to surprise the birthday girl. Upon entering the room, her expression upon seeing her cake was priceless; she couldn't stop smiling from ear to ear while admiring it.

I was eagerly anticipating her trying the cake, so I encouraged her to cut a slice. However, she was reluctant to cut into the cake as she wanted to savor the moment at home. When she finally cut the first slice, all I could recall her saying was, "I won't be sharing this with anyone!"

Since that day, my life took a different path. A single cake led to another, eventually evolving into the flourishing business known as Shays Funcakes today. Unbeknownst to me, God had a plan in store, guiding me to craft delightful treats that not only tantalize your taste buds but also boast irresistible aesthetics.
